Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Kentwood, Michigan to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, support merchandise movement, and help train Store Associates while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and the capacity to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Support merchandise movement from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling; support loss prevention.
• Keep store areas neat and stocked to company standards; protect assets.
