Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Aiken, SC to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily store functions, supervise associates, ensure safe, clean, and well-organized sales floors, and help implement company directives and loss-prevention measures while delivering friendly service.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and leadership to maintain high standards of service and store presentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize, and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed and ensure seasonal areas are maintained.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash register deposits and receipts), and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked and organized store floor and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines and ensure staff follow them.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional interactions with customers and staff.
• Ensure cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and overall presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
