Job summary

Dollar Tree in Palmetto, FL is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day store activities, merchandise movement, and adherence to company policies to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming shopping environment.

The role requires strong communication and organizational skills, ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
