Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Jacksonville, FL to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with daily functions, merchandise handling, and training Store Associates to maintain high standards.

The role requires strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-driven environment and uphold company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must lift up to 55 lbs and perform duties requiring walking, standing, bending, and repetitive motions.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives, maintain displays, and ensure seasonal areas are maintained.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll/scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and ensure staff compliance.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe, positive, respectful environment and friendly interactions with customers and staff.
• Ensure cleanliness of the store including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
