Job summary

World Market is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead a customer-first selling culture and drive sales. In partnership with the Store Manager, you’ll guide routines, staffing, and operations to deliver exceptional experiences.

You’ll recruit and develop a high-performing team, manage daily tasks, and uphold our values while maintaining a safe, engaging store environment. Location: Colorado and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced specialty retail selling culture is preferred.
• Must be willing and able to commute for a promotion within a 30–50-mile radius.
• Flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, depending on business needs.
• Minimum Age 21 years and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• In partnership with the Store Manager, model and lead a customer-first selling culture through routines, visual standards, and engagement behaviors.
• Analyze business trends using available reporting to identify opportunities and take action.
• Maintain World Market culture and values.
• Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performance team aligned with company values through training and recognition.
• Support safety training and daily business tasks in the Store Manager's absence.
• Support and maintain loss prevention routines to protect profitability.
• Complete Direct Store Orders and verify receiving.
• Manage supply/fixture orders and facilities issues.
• Organize and execute signage and graphics with the management team.
• Address employee issues and cooperate with leadership.
