Job summary

Hibbett, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager in Hurst, TX to support the Store Manager with daily operations, merchandising, and outstanding customer service.

The role requires knowledge of product areas, adherence to policies, and readiness to take on Store Manager responsibilities in their absence. You will help manage staffing, scheduling, restocking, and sales strategies while ensuring profitability across departments.

Qualifications

• Retail experience in footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling assets and store operations.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Own store responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Participate in recruiting, training, and evaluating store personnel.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to complete department responsibilities and standards.
• Maintain awareness of inventory movement and customer trends.
• Provide extraordinary customer service per the customer service manual.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Uphold company policies and procedures as listed in manuals and memos.
• Protect assets and financial information, reporting potential fraud risks.
