The Position:

Cannabis & Glass is looking to add a knowledgeable Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to our Spokane team. If you enjoy working with and talking about cannabis, this is the right job for you! Essential Functions:
  • Prioritize a positive customer experience for all patrons.
  • Foster a fun and safe work environment for all Cannabis & Glass retail employees.
  • Manage retail sales associates in all daily operational processes.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy and compliance with law enforcement standards.
  • Measure employee performance to document feedback and training.
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness and safety standards of the store.
  • Hold team members accountable to standards and policies of the company.
  • Using independent judgment and discretion, discipline and coach team members as necessary and appropriate short of termination to ensure proper operations and conduct.
  • Train and develop retail associates and support fellow managers.
  • Ability to work a set schedule, exhibit reliable attendance, and demonstrate punctuality.
  • Ability to open and close retail locations and remain on-site for your entire shift (except during breaks).
  • Ability to work 40 hours a week.
Working Conditions:
  • Job duties may include work indoors and outdoors during all seasons, 365 days/year.
  • Employees may be exposed to difficult or stressful customer situations requiring patience and professionalism.
  • Work duties may require sedentary activities, active standing, stooping, and/or kneeling.
  • Retail stores are open 365 days a year with shifts typically occurring between 7:30 a.m. and 11:30 p.m.
  • Must be able to regularly lift 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for up to eight hours per day.
  • Must be able to proficiently operate computers, tablets and other productivity machinery and technology.
  • Must be able to reliably arrive at work on time for scheduled shifts.
  • Must be able to ascend/descend a ladder to service displays, products, or service ceiling lights.
  • Must be able to type at least 40 words per minute.
  • Must be able to move about the retail store, as needed, to assist customers and perform required functions.
  • Must be able to remain in a designated work area for up to eight hours per day with the exception of breaks as required by law.
  • Must be able to position oneself to access products within all areas of the store.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate information and ideas so customers and coworkers will understand.
  • Must be able to continue to assist customers and coworkers during and after stressful situations resulting from customer service interactions.
  • Must be able to accurately observe details at close range in order to recognize, identify, detect, determine and assess objects.
  • Must be able to prepare, place and position retail products or items.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate information displayed on digital screens.
  • Must be able to perform other job duties as assigned.
  • You must have the ability to work at all three of our Washington locations.
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must have a GED or high school diploma.
  • Must have at least 2 years of retail management or direct supervisory experience.
  • Must commit to coming to work sober. We love cannabis but we do not get high on the job.
  • Previous retail, sales and/or customer service experience is strongly preferred; although, we are open to experience from other industries as long as it's applicable to this role.
  • We do not require previous professional experience in the cannabis industry but would strongly prefer the applicant be a regular consumer of the product.
