Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Leads a store business unit, focusing on creating a consistent and positive customer experience. Assists in supervising all team members and business operations, monitoring production, retail processes, pick-up and delivery, shipping, and quality control. Manages the store in the absence of the Store Manager. The Store Assistant Manager performs all functions normally performed by team members.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver friendly, polite, and expert service to customers.
  • Evaluate team members' efficiency and productivity in creating positive customer experiences.
  • Resolve customer disputes and complaints promptly.
  • Create a customer-focused environment across all store areas and maintain a clean, professional environment.
  • Manage customer flow to ensure quick service and quality product delivery.
  • Train and develop team members, monitor goals, and provide feedback.
  • Participate in hiring processes, including interviewing and assisting with onboarding.
  • Coach and counsel team members to ensure policy adherence and performance standards.
  • Coordinate with Store Lead Consultant and production team to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Oversee shipping activities and related services.
  • Communicate store goals, performance metrics, customer issues, and initiatives to the team.
  • Enforce FedEx Office policies and maintain controls.
  • Assist with payroll review and POS closing procedures.
  • Handle administrative duties such as scheduling, inventory, ordering supplies, and compliance.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of related experience, supervisory experience preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Stand for entire shift, excluding breaks.
  • Lift up to 55 pounds.
  • Bend and twist at the waist and knees.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members.
  • Work cooperatively and follow instructions.
  • Perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain attention and concentration for extended periods.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain regular attendance and support business hours.
