Position Summary

Leads a store business unit, focusing on creating a consistent and positive customer experience. Assists in supervising and overseeing all team members and business operations, including production, retail processes, pick-up and delivery, shipping, and quality control. Manages the store in the absence of the Store Manager. The Store Assistant Manager performs all functions normally performed by team members.

General Duties and Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates consultative behaviors to ensure friendly, polite, and expert service to all customers.
  • Evaluates the efficiency and productivity of team members in creating positive customer experiences.
  • Resolves customer disputes and complaints to ensure satisfaction.
  • Creates a customer-focused environment across all store areas and maintains a clean, professional environment.
  • Establishes and manages customer flow processes to improve service and ensure needs are met promptly.
  • Provides training and development to team members, monitoring goals and providing feedback.
  • Participates in hiring processes, including interviewing and compliance with company policies.
  • Coaches and counsels team members on performance and adherence to standards.
  • Coordinates with the Store Lead and production team to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Oversees shipping services and activities.
  • Communicates regularly with the Store Manager and team on goals, performance, customer issues, and initiatives.
  • Enforces FedEx Office policies and maintains control environment.
  • Assists with payroll, POS close-out, scheduling, inventory, and other administrative duties.
  • Performs other duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of related experience; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must meet all FedEx Office employment qualifications at hiring.
  • For current employees, must meet transfer and hiring criteria outlined in the Team Member Handbook.
Essential Functions
  • Ability to stand for entire shift, excluding breaks.
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds.
  • Ability to bend and twist at the waist and knees.
  • Effective communication with customers, vendors, and team members.
  • Ability to work cooperatively, efficiently, and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain attention and concentration over extended periods.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain regular attendance to support business hours.
