Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Kentucky in Middlesboro, KY, is hiring an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations in a fast-paced environment. You will lead a team, ensure excellent customer service, and help manage payroll, scheduling, and merchandising.

A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate degree is preferred, with retail supervisory experience a plus. The role requires dependable transportation, the ability to stand long hours, and a strong commitment to the mission

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED; Associate degree in a business-related field preferred.
• Retail supervisory experience helpful.
• Occasional driving; valid driver’s license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assumes management responsibilities in absence of Store Manager.
• Assists Store Manager in ordering merchandise and record keeping including payroll, scheduling and cash register deposits and receipts.
• At the direction of the Store Manager, supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates on Goodwill of Kentucky operating practices and procedures.
• Maintains a positive shopping experience by providing excellent customer service and maintaining a well-stocked store.
• Supports Store Manager in loss prevention efforts.
• Follows all Company policies and procedures.

Goodwill Industries of Kentucky is looking for a high energy, detail oriented Assistant Store Manager to join our team! This position would support store operations in a fast paced, dynamic, and rewarding environment. Monday-Sunday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM

• Must have High School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree in Business-related field is preferred.
• Must have Retail; supervisory experience helpful.
• A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
• Occasional driving (personal car) to another retail location. Driver’s license preferred and must have valid insurance on any vehicle used for business purposes
• Manages long periods of standing, recurring bending/crouching/reaching/stooping and ability to lift 30 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stock merchandise from store receiving to shelving; ability to place product, weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelving at various heights.
• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk about the store.
