Story Cannabis is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Ohio to lead a high-performing dispensary team, driving top-line sales growth through customer service, training, product knowledge, and strong operations.

You will partner with the General Manager to hire, train, monitor KPIs, manage inventory, ensure compliance, and collaborate with marketing, retail operations, and supply chain while upholding the company's inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED; Associate Degree preferred.
• 2+ years of management experience in a high-volume retail environment; cannabis experience preferred.
• Experience with POS systems and compliance tools such as Dutchie and Metrc.
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Analytical with the ability to set and track store KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement sales strategies to drive positive sales growth within the dispensary.
• Maintain inventory controls and ensure compliance standards.
• Coach, train, and develop staff aligned with company goals and vision.
• Partner with the General Manager to monitor KPIs and use data to drive labor, sales, and training decisions.

Overview:

The Assistant General Manager reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for developing a high-performing team that consistently delivers top-line sales growth. This person will lead and support the staff with customer service, sales training, product knowledge, leadership development, inventory controls, and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Working with the General Manager to plan and implement sales strategies to drive positive sales growth within the dispensary.
• Maintaining strong inventory controls and making sure that the store is upholding compliance standards.
• Coaching, training, and developing staff, making sure they are aligned with the company's goals and vision.
• Partnering with the General Manager to help create, monitor, and track the store's KPIs, and leveraging data to help drive decisions around labor costs, sales strategies, and training opportunities.
• Helping to hire, train and onboard new staff within the dispensary.
• Assisting with the store's day-to-day operations and partnering with other internal teams, such as marketing, retail operations, and supply chain.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent required, Associate Degree preferred.
• 2+ years of management experience in a high-volume retail environment with previous cannabis experience preferred.
• Experience with point of sales systems and backend compliance tools, such as Dutchie and Metrc.
• Strong leadership qualities and the ability to recruit and train staff.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Analytical with the ability to set and track store KPIs.
• Open availability with no scheduling conflicts.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to occasionally lift 50+ pounds.
• Must be able to either sit or stand for long periods of time.
