Job summary

Simbe Robotics, Inc. is seeking a Customer Facing Applied AI Engineer to translate our computer vision and data platform into customer value across retail deployments.

You will configure, tune, validate, and troubleshoot AI pipelines in customer environments to deliver accurate insights from Tally quickly and reliably. You will work across teams—Sales, Implementation, Product, Customer Success, Data, CV, and Field—to ensure deployments meet customer needs and scale.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software engineering, applied ML, data engineering, CV ops, or related technical role.
• Strong Python and data handling with pandas/SQL and notebooks.
• Ability to troubleshoot data pipelines, configurations, model outputs, and logs.
• Comfort with Linux, command line, Git, and production debugging.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer specific AI configuration for new customers, store formats, and deployments.
• Improve accuracy by diagnosing issues with shelves, prices, promos, and data quality.
• Support launches and expansions with cross-team collaboration across Sales, Implementation, Product, CS, Data, CV, and Field.
• Own release validation, evaluate impact, and ensure deployment readiness for customer needs.
• Analyze production data using Python, pandas, SQL, logs, imagery, and outputs to diagnose issues.
• Build internal tools to reduce deployment time and QA effort.
• Close loop with Product and Engineering turning issues into requirements and tickets.
