Job summary

Authority Brands is seeking a Retail Staff Accountant to support accounting for company-owned locations across its Trades and Outdoor brands. This role prepares journal entries, reconciliations, and close activities with a focus on accurate coding and detailed location-level financial results.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 2–4 years of accounting experience, and solid GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
2-4 years of general accounting experience; multi-entity experience a plus.
Working knowledge of GAAP.
Proficient in Excel and an ERP/accounting system.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations for assigned company-owned locations
Reconcile ServiceTitan and other location system data to NetSuite by location, job, and service type
Review transaction-level detail to identify and correct miscoded jobs, labor, materials, and other costs
Ensure accurate department, location, job, and service-level coding across all entries
Perform flux analysis at the department, location, job, and service type levels and research variances prior to close
Support corporate allocations, audit requests, and special projects as needed
