Job summary

Authority Brands is seeking a Retail Staff Accountant to support accounting for company-owned locations across its Trades and Outdoor brands. The role focuses on accurate coding, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close, reporting to the Retail Accounting Manager.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or progress towards CPA preferred.
• 2-4 years of general accounting experience; multi-entity experience a plus.
• Working knowledge of GAAP.
• Proficient in Excel and an ERP/accounting system (e.g., SAP, NetSuite).

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations for assigned company-owned locations
• Reconcile ServiceTitan and other location system data to NetSuite by location, job, and service type
• Review transaction-level detail to identify and correct miscoded jobs, labor, materials, and other costs
• Ensure accurate department, location, job, and service-level coding across all entries
• Perform flux analysis at the department, location, job, and service type levels and research variances prior to close
• Support corporate allocations, audit requests, and special projects as needed

Position Summary
