Job summary

Our client, a growing consumer products company in the beauty and personal care industry, is seeking an Account Manager to support and expand retail partnerships.

You will own day-to-day account management, analyze performance, and lead cross-functional initiatives to drive growth across department stores and independents.

This role requires analytical rigor, polished communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3+ years of account management, sales, retail, or customer business management experience.
  • Experience supporting department stores, specialty retailers, independent accounts, or consumer product partners preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret large data sets into actionable business insights.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and familiarity with Tableau or other reporting and business intelligence tools.

Responsibilities

  • Own day-to-day account management activities for department store and independent retail partners.
  • Analyze sales, inventory, assortment, and promotional performance to identify trends, opportunities, and action plans.
  • Develop and execute account strategies that support revenue growth, productivity, and annual business objectives.
  • Lead recurring business reviews with merchant and retail teams, sharing results, priorities, and progress against key initiatives.
  • Translate data into clear, compelling presentations and recommendations for internal leaders and external partners.
  • Coordinate with planning teams on forecasts, purchase orders, replenishment needs, and promotional programs.
  • Partner with marketing and creative teams to deliver retailer-ready assets, campaign materials, and product storytelling on schedule.
  • Plan and manage retail campaigns, including cooperative marketing, digital placements, email programs, and onsite merchandising opportunities.
  • Maintain trackers for promotional visibility, retail placements, media activity, and account-specific deliverables.
  • Work with retailer merchandising and operations teams to ensure smooth execution of launches, promotions, and sampling initiatives.
  • Build and maintain a sampling and activation calendar, aligning timing, inventory, and channel priorities.
  • Collaborate across sales, marketing, finance, planning, and operations to resolve issues and keep projects moving forward.

What You Bring

  • A collaborative, resourceful approach with the ability to influence cross-functional partners.

  • Comfort working independently, adapting quickly, and solving problems in a changing environment.


Compensation

Salary Range: $90,000–$100,000 per year
