You will oversee GAAP-compliant reporting, budgeting, and KPI dashboards while guiding a growing finance team. You’ll bring 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with direct M&A involvement, a strong technical background, and familiarity with restaurant systems.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience with leadership.
• Hands-on M&A experience including due diligence and integration.
• Strong technical accounting background; CPA preferred.
• Restaurant/hospitality or multi-unit retail experience preferred.
• Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills; familiarity with restaurant systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and finance operations across the restaurant units.
• Drive M&A activity end to end: target evaluation, due diligence, valuation, and integration.
• Own financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Build unit-level P&L reporting and KPI dashboards (primarily food/labor costs).
• Partner with CEO/CFO on capital planning and lender relations.
• Ensure GAAP compliance, internal controls, and tax coordination.
• Mentor and scale the finance and accounting team.

About the Role

A growing multi-unit restaurant group in Addison, TX is hiring a Vice President of Finance. This high-impact leadership role is for a hands‑on finance executive with deep accounting expertise and a proven track record in mergers and acquisitions. You'll own the financial strategy, lead the accounting function, and drive deal execution as the company scales.

What You’ll Do

• Lead all accounting and finance operations, including GL, close, consolidation, AP/AR, payroll accounting, and audit readiness
• Drive M&A activity end to end: target evaluation, financial due diligence, valuation, deal modeling, and post‑acquisition integration
• Own financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across all restaurant units
• Build and manage unit-level P&L reporting, four‑wall EBITDA analysis, and KPI dashboards (food/labor costs, prime cost, same-store sales)
• Partner with the CEO/CFO and ownership on capital planning, lender relations, and growth strategy
• Ensure GAAP compliance, internal controls, and tax coordination
• Lead, mentor, and scale a high‑performing finance and accounting team

What You Bring

• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership roles
• Direct, hands‑on M&A experience (buy-side preferred): due diligence, deal structuring, and integration
• Strong technical accounting background; CPA strongly preferred
• Restaurant, hospitality, franchise, or multi‑unit retail experience strongly preferred
• Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills; experience with restaurant accounting systems (e.g., R365, Sage Intacct, NetSuite) is a plus
• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance; MBA a plus
• Executive presence and the ability to translate financials into clear business decisions
