Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Restraints Engineer in Dearborn, MI for a contract position with hybrid work options. The role covers design, development, validation and release of restraints systems including seatbelts, airbags, steering wheels and adjusters.

You will coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to meet program milestones and quality targets. The position offers hourly compensation between $38.00 and $48.00, with pay determined by qualifications, experience, and location.

Responsibilities

• Design parts to meet regulatory, corporate, and local validation requirements.
• Translate customer requirements into engineering targets.
• Monitor suppliers and analyze feedback in internal systems.
• Incorporate new designs and changes at assembly plants and lead discussions with suppliers.
• Support suppliers and assembly with production quality and manufacturing issues.
• Assist PPAP processes for mass production.
• Manage project timing, drawings release, and specs.
• Create FMA, DVPR, and quality documentation.
• Ensure timely delivery of parts for each program milestone.
