Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as design and release engineer for restraints commodities.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements including FMVSS and IIHS.
• Proficiency in simulation and testing methodologies for restraints and safety systems.
• Strong program management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Design parts to comply with corporate, regulatory, and local requirements for validation.
• Translate customer requirements into engineering targets.
• Monitor suppliers and analyze customer feedback in internal systems.
• Incorporate new designs and changes at assembly plants and lead supplier discussions.
• Support suppliers and assembly with production quality and manufacturing issues.
• Support PPAP for mass production.
• Manage project timing, release drawings, and engineering specs.
• Create FMA documents, DVPR, and related quality documents.
• Ensure on-time part delivery for each program milestone and track supplier deliverables.
