Job summary

Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity is seeking an experienced ReStore Manager to lead our Chesterfield/Mall Drive ReStore, focusing on donor and customer experiences while keeping the operation moving.

This hands-on leadership role emphasizes developing people, engaging volunteers, driving sales, and maintaining safety and efficiency on the store and warehouse floor.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience in home improvement or building supply.
• Two years of college in a related field or equivalent experience with a high school diploma/GED.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing teams.
• Knowledge of inventory, pricing, budgets, and P&L.

Responsibilities

• Coach, develop, and motivate employees and volunteers.
• Own sales performance and 30-, 60-, and 90-day planning.
• Oversee merchandising, pricing, inventory, and donation processing.
• Strengthen customer and donor relationships.
• Support donation acquisition, transportation, driver teams, and fleet safety.

$60,000–$68,000 | Full-Time | Tuesday–Saturday | 37.5 Hours/Week

Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity is looking for an experienced ReStore Manager to lead our Chesterfield/Mall Drive ReStore.

This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who knows how to develop people, engage volunteers, drive sales, create a strong customer and donor experience, and keep a busy retail and warehouse operation moving. Approximately 80% of the workday is spent on the store and warehouse floor, staying connected to the people and the operation.

What You’ll Lead

• Coach, develop, and motivate employees and volunteers
• Own sales performance and 30-, 60-, and 90-day planning
• Oversee merchandising, pricing, inventory, and donation processing
• Strengthen customer and donor relationships
• Support donation acquisition, transportation, driver teams, and fleet safety
• Maintain strong operational and safety standards

What You’ll Bring

• Retail management experience, preferably in home improvement or building supply
• Two years of college in a related field or equivalent experience with a high school diploma/GED
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing teams
• Knowledge of inventory, pricing, budgets, and P&L
• Strong communication, business judgment, and organizational skills
• Ability to lead employees and volunteers in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and access to a vehicle for business purposes
