Job summary

West Bay RI is seeking Direct Support Professionals for Specialized Supports in Rhode Island. You will deliver restorative and rehabilitative services, support individuals with developmental and mental health needs, and work closely with clinical staff to enhance daily routines and life skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of experience providing rehabilitative or behavioral support to individuals with I/DD and mental health needs.
• Safety Care Certification preferred (current or previous).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift 25-50 lbs with or without assistance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver restorative and rehabilitative services based on individual behavioral health care plans.
• Provide motivational, consistent, and respectful support to foster high-quality relationships.
• Use crisis intervention skills and offer intensive support during challenging moments.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to enhance daily routines and life skills, including nutrition, employment/volunteering, social development, personal care, and medication administration.
• Maintain a safe, healthy environment that promotes growth and autonomy.
