West Bay RI is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide specialized supports in Rhode Island communities. The role focuses on implementing behavioral health care plans and helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve greater independence and community integration.

We offer full-time and part-time opportunities with pay $24.00-$25.00 per hour, plus a weekend differential of $1.00/hour.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clinical staff to enhance individuals' daily routines and life skills, including: nutritional guidance, employment and volunteer opportunities, social and relationship development, personal care and hygiene, medication administration.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes growth and autonomy.

As a Restorative Support Professional, you will play a critical role in implementing behavioral health care plans and supporting individuals in achieving greater independence, emotional well-being, and community integration.

What You'll Do

• Deliver restorative and rehabilitative services based on individual behavioral health care plans.
• Provide motivational, consistent, and respectful support to foster high-quality relationships.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience providing rehabilitative or behavioral support to individuals with I/DD and mental health needs.
  • Safety Care Certification preferred (current or previous).
• Licensure: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 25-50 lbs. (with assistance or lifting devices), and perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, pushing/pulling, or kneeling without restriction.
