Responsibilities include assisting with morning arrival, transitions, and dismissal; supervising designated areas; escorting students; reinforcing restorative practices; and collaborating with teachers and counselors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; an Associate degree in a human services field preferred.
• Experience working with school-aged youth, preferably in a school setting.
• Ability to communicate clearly with students and staff.
• Ability to follow and enforce school and division procedures regarding student conduct.
• Strong organization, problem solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Bilingual candidates are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with school-based staff to assist with morning arrival, class transitions, and school dismissal.
• Monitor and maintain sight supervision of a designated area within the school that includes hallways and bathrooms.
• Escort students to designated locations within the school such as bathrooms, main office, cafeteria, health office, attendance, and counseling.
• Reinforce restorative approaches such as affective statements, community circles, and impromptu conferences when applicable.
• Maintain a calm and professional demeanor in a dynamic environment.
• Attend monthly staff meetings and division-lead professional learning opportunities.
• Complete other duties as determined by the School-Based Manager.
