Genesis HealthCare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide restorative nursing care under the supervision of licensed staff. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration with the Rehab team to help residents achieve maximum functional potential.

Requirements include a state-approved CNA program, two years' CNA experience, a high school diploma, and ongoing continuing education. Excellent English communication is essential for patient safety and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state approved certified nursing assistant program.
• Two years' experience as a CNA and knowledge of restorative nursing philosophy.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Must complete at least 12 hours of continuing education each year.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English to ensure safety.

Responsibilities

• Performs restorative nursing under Rehab and RN guidance to promote functional goals.
• Provides safe restorative care and documents progress.
• Attends care plan conferences and contributes to the Restorative care plan.
• Maintains accurate restorative progress records.
• Assists with staff orientation and educates on splints and assistive devices.
• Promotes safety and patient/family satisfaction.
• Upholds company values and participates in quality improvement.
