Job summary

Genesis HealthCare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support restorative nursing services in our facilities. You will work under the Rehab Department and a licensed nurse to deliver compassionate care, monitor patient progress, and help achieve maximum function for residents.

Responsibilities include implementing restorative plans, documenting progress, attending care plan conferences, and assisting with staff training.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state approved certified nursing assistant program.
• Two years' experience in a healthcare/restorative setting preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Continuing education credits (CEUs) attainable to maintain certification.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Deliver restorative nursing care under supervision and nursing direction.
• Oversee restorative programs and maintain progress documentation.
• Communicate goals with Nursing and Rehab departments.
• Attend care plan conferences and contribute to care plans.
• Assist with staff orientation and ongoing education.
• Instruct others on use of splints and assistive devices.
• Maintain safe patient handling and use of equipment.
