Petersburg City Public Schools seeks a Restorative Practices Facilitator to support students in an alternative to suspension program. You will provide restorative and social-emotional support, help students complete assignments, and prepare them to return to their regular classes.

The role emphasizes conflict resolution, mentorship, group facilitation, and collaboration with school social workers, counselors and teachers to promote academic and behavioral progress.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with individual and/or group therapy sessions or behavior interventions in schools or similar settings.
• Training in restorative practices and de-escalation techniques.
• QMHP-C certification preferred but not required.

Aufgaben

• Lead daily schedule with group sessions and provide 1:1 support for students in the program.
• Track student performance data and monitor progress during attendance.
• Collaborate with program staff, social worker, counselor, and teachers to ensure academic success and behavioral progress.
• Provide mentorship and model positive behavior to encourage social change.
• Facilitate safe communication during restorative practice sessions and coordinate with staff for additional support.
• Ensure daily Social Emotional Learning curricula are delivered and practiced by students.
• Coordinate mediation between peers to restore relationships upon return to the comprehensive setting.
• Incorporate college and career readiness activities to support future goals.
