Job summary

Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools is seeking a Restorative Practices (RP) Coach to support equity-centered practices, SEL, and PBIS within MTSS. You will work with staff and students to reduce suspensions by guiding restorative circles, conferences, and restorative spaces.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma with some college coursework, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with diverse school communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
• Ability to work with individuals at all levels within the school community.
• Excellent people and communication skills, with ability to engage families and partners.
• Knowledge of youth development and ability to support at-risk students.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Implement restorative practices to improve relationships and school climate.
• Integrate MTSS Tier I behavioral interventions with equity-centered strategies.
• Reduce out-of-school suspensions via reset/restoration spaces.
• Provide direct Tier II/III behavioral supports and track student progress.
• Coordinate conferences with families and collaborate with teachers.
• Maintain student records and participate in professional development.
