Job summary

Imperialcresthc is seeking a Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA) for the Hawthorne, CA area to join the Nursing team on an AM shift. The RNA will work with the Therapy Department and under the Charge Nurse supervision to perform restorative nursing activities aimed at maximizing residents’ mobility and independence.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a CNA program, one year SNF CNA experience, an RNA certificate, and current First Aid/CPR.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and completion of a CNA program.
• One year CNA experience in a SNF facility and an RNA certificate.
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including booster shots.
• Current First Aid and CPR Card.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ROM exercises and ambulation/transfer as ordered to improve mobility.
• Document activities of daily living per policy and procedure.
• Monitor restorative devices/equipment usage.
• Assist with turning and positioning heavy residents.
• Document weekly progress for residents in the restorative program.
• Report changes in condition or motivation level.
• Assess pain before and after treatments.
• Provide restorative nursing care per care plan under supervision.
• Support activities of daily living and maintain restorative therapy notes.
• Follow treatment plans and assist with basic daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating and walking.
• Coach CNAs on positioning, ROM, ADL and safety device use; develop QA tools for CNA audits.
• Maintain proper technique and safety in all resident care; encourage self-care.
• Maintain resident safety and proper alignment; assist transfers using gait belt or assistive devices.
