Job summary

Lakeview Post Acute is seeking a Restorative Nursing Aide (RNA) to provide routine restorative nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting. The role involves assisting with mobility exercises, transfers, daily hygiene, and coordination with the therapy department.

Required credentials include a CNA, Restorative Aide training, and CPR certification, plus a high school diploma. At least one year in a long-term care facility is preferred. This is an on-site position in Missouri.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CNA and Restorative Aide Training.
• Current CPR certification.
• One-year experience in a long-term care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with exercises to improve or maintain mobility and independence.
• Encourage residents to stay active and out of bed unless contraindicated.
• Assist with transfers, ambulation and range of motion.
• Provide clean clothing and linens in good repair to residents.
• Assist with bathing and dressing of residents.
• Change positions to prevent skin issues and odor elimination.
• Assist with therapy department range of motion exercises.
• Complete charting of care and maintain warm, calm atmosphere.
• Report significant changes to Charge Nurse or Director of Nursing.
• Assist with medical tests, daily meals and appointments.
• Assist with elimination and bedpans/urinals
• Maintain personal hygiene and nail care for residents.
• Provide pressure-relieving devices and skin protection.
• Maintain capacity to cover therapist's or consultant's absence.
