Job summary

Diversicare, a post-acute care provider, seeks a Nursing Assistant with a restorative focus in Alabama. You will deliver structured treatment activities, support daily care, and document progress to enhance residents’ quality of life.

Responsibilities include implementing programs, coordinating with therapy staff, and serving as a resident advocate. Strong English communication and genuine care are essential to thrive here.

Qualifications

• Nursing Assistant Certification from the state, where required.
• Good communication skills with the ability to read and write English.
• Ability to document appropriately and perform technical procedures.
• Genuine caring for and interest in resident.
• Strong belief in the Restorative Nursing Philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Perform restorative nursing programs to improve residents’ quality of life.
• Document daily on treatment grids and weekly on progress notes.
• Notify restorative nurse coordinator of issues or needs for reassessment.
• Report changes to Director of Nursing and chart significant conditions.
• Support B/B program with nurse aides and attend required meetings.
• Act as a resident advocate and motivate others.

Responsibilities

As a key member of the nursing team, you will provide restorative nursing techniques to those residents assigned to improve the resident's quality of life through structured treatment modalities. Responsibilities include:

• 1. Performs programs on all identified residents. To include but not limited to:
• Range of motion (passive/active)
• General strengthening exercises
• Ambulation and transfer training
• ADL's
• Nursing whirlpools as assigned
• Placement of restorative devices and equipment
• Positioning
• Restorative feeding program
• 2. Document daily on treatment grid and weekly on progress notes.
• 3. Notifies restorative nurse coordinator or appropriate therapy departmentof problems, referrals or reassessments needed.
• 4. Reports to the Director of Nursing and charts significant change in resident's condition or motivational level.
• 5. Reinforces team management of B/B program and works with nurse aides on B/B procedures.
• 6. Attends meetings and in-services as required.
• 7. Serves as a resident advocate at all times. Motivates others.
