Job summary

Diversicare Healthcare Services, LLC is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to provide restorative nursing care to residents in our facilities. You will implement prescribed restorative programs, assist with ROM, ambulation, ADLs, and documentation, and collaborate with nursing and therapy teams to support residents’ quality of life.

Qualified candidates hold a Nursing Assistant Certification as required by state, and demonstrate strong communication and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Nursing Assistant Certification is required where state mandates.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to document accurately and perform basic procedures.
• Genuine care and interest in residents’ wellbeing.
• Strong belief in restorative nursing philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Perform restorative programs for identified residents to improve quality of life.
• Conduct ROM, strengthening, ambulation, and transfer training.
• Assist with ADLs and restorative devices as directed.
• Document daily on treatment grids and weekly progress notes.
• Notify nurse coordinator or therapy staff of issues or needs.
• Report significant changes to the Director of Nursing.
• Support team coordination and communicate with CNAs during shifts.

Responsibilities

As a key member of the nursing team, you will provide restorative nursing techniques to those residents assigned to improve the resident’s quality of life through structured treatment modalities. Responsibilities include:

• Performs programs on all identified residents. To include but not limited to:
• Range of motion (passive/active)
• General strengthening exercises
• Ambulation and transfer training
• ADL’s
• Nursing whirlpools as assigned
• Placement of restorative devices and equipment
• Positioning
• Restorative feeding program
• Document daily on treatment grid and weekly on progress notes.
• Notifies restorative nurse coordinator or appropriate therapy department of problems, referrals or reassessments needed.
• Reports to the Director of Nursing and charts significant change in resident’s condition or motivational level.
• Reinforces team management of B/B program and works with nurse aides on B/B procedures.
• Attends meetings and in-services as required.
• Serves as a resident advocate at all times. Motivates others.

Qualifications

• Nursing Assistant Certification from the state where required.
• Good communication skills with the ability to read and write the English language.
• Ability to document appropriately and perform technical procedures.
• Genuine caring for and interest in resident.
• A strong belief in the Restorative Nursing Philosophy.
