Job summary

Chicago Public Schools in Chicago is seeking a Restorative Justice Coordinator to lead schoolwide restorative initiatives, train staff, and connect the school with community partners. The role reports to the principal and works with students, families, and administrators to implement restorative practices.

You will cultivate healing cultures, develop data-informed goals, and support capacity-building across all tiers, including space setup and crisis response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Public Administration, Education or Human Services preferred.
• Two years of training and/or experience in restorative justice and circle practice.
• Experience in a school setting with adolescents is preferred.
• Ability to work after school and weekend hours.
• Four years of direct experience implementing conflict mediation in a school or community setting.
• Ability to engage students, families, teachers, and partners to solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate restorative practices across universal, targeted, and intensive tiers with stakeholders.
• Provide training and coaching to build restorative justice capacity.
• Model and co-facilitate restorative practices in classrooms and staff meetings.
• Offer individual and team coaching to administrators and staff.
• Collaborate with parents and community partners through outreach and focus groups.
• Develop student restorative skills through Peer Conference and student-led events.
