Chicago Public Schools seeks a Restorative Justice Coordinator to join the Office of Education Options leadership. You will help develop a strategy for systemic change and support the implementation of restorative approaches across 50+ Options School sites, including training staff in reentry circles and other restorative practices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field required.
• Minimum of 5 years working with adolescents in educational or social service settings.
• Experience evaluating social service needs of juvenile offenders and coordinating with multiple agencies.
• Experience with court-involved youth or youth involved with gang activity.
• Strong understanding of restorative justice practices and school climate improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop Network level strategy for capacity building at the 50+ Options Schools.
• Develop Network policies and alternative approaches to school discipline to reduce harm and increase youth engagement.
• Build relationships with juvenile court and Department of Probation for Cook County.
• Support Principals in shifting school culture toward restorative practices.
• Collaborate with Juvenile Justice Reengagement Team to support reentry to school after detention.
