Genesiscareers is seeking a Restorative Nurse Aide to work in our long-term care setting. The role involves delivering restorative nursing care in collaboration with licensed nursing staff and rehabilitation therapy to prevent functional decline and maximize patient function.

The position requires completion of a state-approved CNA program, at least two years of CNA experience, knowledge of restorative nursing principles, and a commitment to ongoing education to maintain certification.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state approved certified nursing assistant program is required.
• Two years' experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
• Knowledge of restorative nursing philosophy and procedures is required.
• Must attend a minimum of 12 hours continuing education programs provided by the nursing center in order to maintain certification.

Responsabilités

• The Restorative Nurse Aide, in collaboration with a licensed nurse and rehabilitation therapy, delivers restorative nursing care to prevent decline and to attain maximum functionality.
• Maintain accurate restorative nursing progress documentation records on all patients participating in the restorative program.
• Participate in the patient care planning process.
• Train other direct care staff in restorative techniques, equipment, and the application of splints, braces, prosthetic appliances, and self-help devices to assure proper application and usage.
