Job summary

Life Care Centers of America in Phoenix seeks a Restorative CNA to carry out patient restorative nursing functions under the direction of the Restorative Nurse, in compliance with laws and Life Care standards.

The role requires a state-approved CNA, active licensure, restorative nursing training, and good attention to patient rights, safety, and teamwork; prior geriatric experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of a State approved CNA program
• Active license in the applicable state and must remain in good standing
• Completed restorative nursing training
• One year geriatric nursing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Lift, turn, move, position, and transport patients
• Assist patients with baths, showers, personal grooming, feeding, and toileting
• Accurately document and chart patient care
• Respond to call lights promptly
• Provide physician ordered exercise to each patient
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
• Assist in the evacuation of patients
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
• Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
• Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Graduate of a State approved CNA program

Active state license in good standing

Restorative nursing training completed

One year geriatric nursing experience preferred
