Job summary

Qualicare Nursing Home, a Ciena Healthcare facility, seeks a Restorative Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to implement restorative programs and support resident independence under supervision of licensed staff. The role focuses on mobility, ADLs, and quality of life, working with nursing, therapy, and the care team to promote optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant/STNA in good standing with the certification board.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Meets all state and federal criminal background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implements restorative programs as directed by nursing and therapy, including ambulation, ROM, transfers, bed mobility, ADL retraining.
• Provide encouragement and emotional support to residents, promoting participation and independence.
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning with proper body mechanics.
• Provide direct resident care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, oral hygiene and feeding as needed.
• Measure and record vital signs, intake/output as directed.
• Respond to call lights and changes in resident condition; report observations to licensed staff.
• Maintain documentation and ensure infection control and safety guidelines are followed.
• Contributes to residents’ assessment and plan of care; supports independence and dignity.

Education

High School Graduate/GED

At least one year of CNA experience and/or training

Restorative care experience

Successful completion of restorative competency
