Job summary

COX HEALTHCARE LTD in Broken Arrow, OK is seeking a qualified CNA/CMA to work with the therapy department to provide restorative care to residents. This role requires compassionate bedside care and teamwork with nursing staff.

You will assume authority over restorative care services, maintain treatment records and progress notes, review policies, meet with administrators and therapy staff, and encourage residents to participate in ADLs.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA/CMA certification and be in good standing.
• Experience in restorative care or therapy support is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with therapy and nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Work with the therapy dept to provide restorative care to residents.
• Assume the authority, responsibility and accountability of directing restorative care services.
• Maintain treatment records, resident files and progress notes as required.
• Review restorative care policies and procedures manuals, job descriptions, etc., at least annually and participate in making recommended changes.
• Meet with administration, medical and nursing staff and therapy department as well as other related departments in planning restorative care.
• Encourage resident to perform and/or participate in activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist residents with OT/PT exercises as directed.
• Complete portions of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) as assigned.
