The Restorative CNA at Life Care Centers of America provides patient restorative nursing care as directed by the Restorative Nurse, in compliance with applicable laws and Life Care standards. The role requires a CNA program graduate and an active state license.

Responsibilities include lifting and moving patients, assisting with baths and grooming, documenting care, responding to call lights, and executing prescribed exercises. CPR certification is required by hire, with orientation provided.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a state-approved CNA program.
• Active state license required and maintained in good standing.
• Restorative nursing training completed.
• One year geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification by hire or during orientation.

• Implement department goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain patient rights, safety, and sanitation.
• Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information.
• Adhere to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and complete compliance training.
• Lift, turn, move, position, and transport patients.
• Assist with baths, showers, grooming, feeding, and toileting.
• Accurately document and chart patient care.
• Respond to call lights promptly.
• Provide physician ordered exercise to patients.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in evacuation of patients.
• Use reasoning and good judgment.
• Communicate effectively on an interdisciplinary team.

Educación

High school diploma or equivalent

Graduate of a State approved CNA program

Currently registered/licensed in applicable State. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.

Completed restorative nursing training

One (1) year geriatric nursing experience preferred

CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation

Employment Status: Full-Time Pay Interval: Hourly Pay Rate Maximum: 27 Pay Rate Minimum: 22 Shift: Sunday-Thursday / 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Position Summary

The Restorative CNA carries out patient related restorative nursing functions which are pre determined for each patient and assigned by Restorative Nurse in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduate of a State approved CNA program
• Currently registered/licensed in applicable State. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
• Completed restorative nursing training
• One (1) year geriatric nursing experience preferred
• CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.

Specific Job Requirements

• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
• Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
• Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation
• Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
• Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
• Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
• Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care’sCode of Conductand completes mandatoryCode of Conductand other appropriate compliance training
