Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a Restorative Care Technician to provide patient care and mobility support under a registered nurse. You will maintain records, ensure supplies and equipment are ready, and prioritize patient needs while keeping a safe environment.

The role involves lifting and transferring patients with limited weight-bearing capability, collaborating with PT/OT/ST when evaluating patient needs, and completing required training and MIS content to support unit goals.

Qualifications

• Maintains functional knowledge of equipment common to the unit.
• Utilizes and cares for equipment on nursing unit.
• Must meet continuing education requirements.
• Knowledge for care of adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
• Ability to report changes in patient condition to supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned patient care and mobility tasks under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Make rounds and coordinate patient care and mobility activities with nurse and therapist as appropriate.
• Maintains patient activity assignment sheet and documents care in the patient record.
• Ensures supplies and equipment are available and ready for patient care.
