Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care across units in Tupelo. You will perform patient care and mobility tasks under RN supervision, document activities, and assist with daily living tasks to ensure patient comfort and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR certification, and completion of required trainings. Ideal candidates have CNA experience and can work collaboratively with physical and occupational therapy teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year of nursing assistant experience is highly preferred.
• Must maintain CPR and unit-specific competencies.
• Must complete MIS training and 40 hours of rehab content.
• Must recognize changes in patient condition and report appropriately.
• Must work side-by-side with PT, OT, ST during patient evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned patient care and mobility tasks under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Maintains patient activity assignment sheet and documents care in the patient record.
• Performs activities of daily living to meet personal and comfort needs of patients.
• Maintains supplies and equipment for patient care and mobility activities; notifies supervisor of needs.
