Job summary

VA Black Hills Health Care System in Fort Meade, SD, is seeking a Community Living Center Restorative Coordinator Registered Nurse to lead restorative nursing care, assess and enroll Veterans, and set measurable goals. You will monitor progress and collaborate with therapy teams to optimize function.

You will strengthen staff practice through ongoing education and mentoring, advancing evidence-based care while ensuring licensure standards are met and patient safety is prioritized.

Qualifications

• English proficiency required to serve in direct patient care positions.
• Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting body.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN licensure in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead restorative nursing care for Veterans in the Community Living Center.
• Assess and enroll Veterans in restorative programs and set measurable goals.
• Monitor progress and adjust care plans to maximize independence.
• Collaborate with physical therapy/occupational therapy teams; mentor and educate staff.
