Job summary

Briarwood Village is seeking a Restorative Aide (CNA) to support residents in daily living activities and rehabilitation exercises. You will help with bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, transfers, and personal care while promoting independence and dignity.

The role requires completing care documentation, following the care plan, and reporting any concerns. A state nurse aide training certificate is required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have completed and passed a state nurse aide training course and test.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, transferring, personal hygiene.
• Maintain and restore residents to highest functional level through exercises and activities (ROM, ambulation, transfers).
• Complete documentation of care given.

Description

Position Summary:

Restorative Aide performs exercises and activities as assigned by the therapy department in order to maintain and restore a resident’s self-care ability, ambulation, range of motion and/or activities of daily living.

Position Responsibilities a Restorative Aide (CNA):

• Assist residents in all activities of daily living, to include, bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, transferring, and personal hygiene
• Maintains and restores residents to their highest functional level through exercise and other activities (range of motion, ambulation, transfers)
• Complete documentation of care given
• Refers to and follows resident care plan form
• Report any abnormal findings, such as injuries, incidents, skin issues, complaints, suspected abuse/neglect/misappropriation, and any unsafe conditions
• Attend required in-service education
• Keep resident rooms and work areas neat and clean
• Follows appropriate Infection Control and Safety Practices
• Communicates effectively with residents, staff and visitors

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: A high school diploma or equivalent preferred. Completed and passed a state nurse aide training course and test.
