Job summary

St. Luke Living Center is seeking a Restorative Aide to support residents with range of motion, mobility, and rehabilitation exercises under the guidance of a Physical Therapist.

The role includes maintaining daily progress notes and ensuring safety through proper transfer techniques such as gait belts. The position requires a current Nursing Assistant Certification (KS); experience with elderly residents is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Certified Nursing Assistant (KS) certification.
• Experience with elderly care preferred (2 years).
• Ability to follow therapist instructions and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide ROM, mobility, ambulation and rehabilitation exercises per therapist/physician guidance.
• Maintain daily restorative program records with resident response and progress.
• Ensure resident safety, using gait belt during ambulation or transfers; request assistance when needed.
• Report concerns and observations to Physical Therapist and Resident Care Plan Team for follow-up.
• Contribute to Care Plan Team by documenting problems, goals, approaches and evaluations for each resident.
• Assist with general nursing duties such as answering call lights, aiding with activities of daily living, and distributing meals and snacks.
