Job summary

911 Restoration By Germain Brothers in Maryland is seeking a Mitigation Technician to support property restoration after fire, water, and other emergencies. You will handle mitigation and restoration tasks, work with the team to minimize damage, and make a tangible difference for clients during difficult times.

Responsibilities include emergency response, damage assessment, water extraction, drying, mold prevention, and communicating clearly with customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in the restoration industry preferred.
• IICRC certification in water, fire, and mold restoration is a plus.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of construction and repair techniques.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to work on-call for emergency services.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess damage.
• Evaluate damage and determine resources and equipment.
• Perform water extraction, drying, and dehumidification; fire damage mitigation.
• Communicate mitigation and restoration processes to customers.
• Maintain accurate project records and report progress to the supervisor.
• Ensure proper maintenance of restoration equipment.
• Adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and participate in safety trainings.
