Job summary

SERVPRO Team Nichols is seeking a versatile restoration technician to respond to emergencies, perform water and fire damage restoration, and support cleanup on site. You will load and maintain equipment, work with safe procedures, and communicate clearly with clients and supervisors.

A valid driver’s license and willingness to work evenings, weekends, or holidays are required; restoration experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on occasion.
• Experience in restoration, construction, or related field preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency situations for water and fire damage.
• Evaluate restoration needs and operate equipment for cleanup and drying.
• Load and inventory vehicles with tools and supplies for each project.
• Communicate safety hazards and job site findings to supervisors.
• Maintain clear client communication and explain restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks including water extraction and drying.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
