Job summary

SERVPRO of Quincy and Hannibal is seeking a restoration technician to respond to emergency events and perform restoration tasks for water and fire damage. The role involves on-site inventory, equipment setup, and collaboration with the team to restore properties efficiently.

The position requires physical stamina, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work outdoors. On-call shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required to support community recovery efforts.

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to work on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Experience in restoration, construction, or related field is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water and fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration tasks such as water extraction, drying, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools and supplies for each project.
• Communicate safety hazards, site findings, equipment requirements to the team.
• Maintain communication with clients, addressing concerns and explaining restoration processes.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site cleanup.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
