Job summary

SERVPRO of Vacaville / Dixon seeks self-motivated teammates to respond to water and fire restoration emergencies. You will perform restoration tasks, operate equipment, and communicate with clients to ease the process.

Ideal candidates have handyman or construction experience, enjoy teamwork, and are ready to learn, with a valid driver’s license and willingness to work on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience as handyman or in construction is preferred.
• Able to work in teams and learn new skills.
• Willing to work flexible hours including on-call shifts.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water and fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities and set-up of equipment.
• Load and maintain vehicles with tools and supplies for each project.
• Communicate safety hazards and site findings to supervisors.
• Maintain communication with clients and explain restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction and drying.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.

Compensation: $18.00 per hour
