Job summary

SERVPRO is hiring in Buckeye, AR for a handyman/restoration assistant. You will respond to emergencies and perform restoration tasks such as water extraction, drying, and equipment setup. A valid license and willingness to work on-call shifts are required.

You’ll receive training, uniforms, and opportunities for advancement within a national network focused on helping communities after damage.

Qualifications

• Experience in restoration, construction, or related field preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness for on-call shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations (water and fire damage).
• Perform restoration activities (water extraction, drying, equipment setup, and demolition).
• Load and inventory vehicles with tools and supplies for each project.
• Communicate safety hazards, site findings, and equipment needs to supervisors.
• Maintain communication with clients and explain the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks including water extraction and drying.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
