Job summary

SERVPRO of Dover / Stillwater is seeking a hands-on technician to respond quickly to emergency restoration needs. You will help with water and fire damage tasks, equipment setup, and site cleanup, working closely with a team to restore properties effectively.

The role emphasizes hands-on activity, outdoor work, and helping the community in times of need, with training and advancement opportunities available within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous restoration/construction experience preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water and fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities including water extraction, set-up of equipment, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and supplies for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements with supervisors.
• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site cleanup.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.

• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.

• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
