Job summary

SERVPRO Team Wilson in Houston is seeking a hands-on restoration helper to respond to water and fire damage, perform cleanup and set up equipment. You will load and inventory vehicles, work with teams, and communicate safety and progress to supervisors.

The role involves outdoor work, lifting up to 50–100 pounds, occasional on-call shifts, and potential IICRC certification. Compensation ranges from $17.00 to $21.00 per hour, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience in restoration, construction, or related field preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Willingness to work on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water and fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities (water extraction, set-up of equipment, demolition).
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools and supplies.
• Communicate safety hazards and job site findings to supervisors.
• Maintain clear communication with clients regarding the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks (water extraction, drying, site cleanup).

Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including water damage, fire damage.
• Evaluate and perform restoration activities including but not limited to, water extraction, fire damages, set-up of specialty equipment, and demolition.
• Load, inventory, and maintain work vehicles with tools, equipment, and all necessary supplies for each project.
• Effectively communicate safety hazards, job site findings, equipment, and tool requirements for the worksite with supervisors.
• Maintain open and clear communication with clients, addressing their concerns and explaining the restoration process.
• Perform restoration and cleanup tasks, including water extraction, drying and site clean-up

Position Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to work occasional on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred.
• IICRC certification is a plus.

Skills/Physical Demands/Competencies

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics)
• Ability to repetitively push/pull/lift/carry objects.
• Ability to work with/around cleaning agents.
