A Restoration Technician goes out into a customer’s home and provides cleaning/restoration services either in the Water or Fire Divisions. The employee provides World Class Service and advises the homeowner on how to return their home to pre‑loss condition by either cleaning or drying out the structure.

Job Responsibilities

• Master Purpose and Use of all equipment and materials.
• Maintain working condition of all equipment and materials.
• Take daily inventory on truck.
• Replenish truck needs from warehouse.
• Take weekly inventory at warehouse.
• Clean Interior and Exterior of vehicle on an as needed basis (maintain a clean vehicle as much as possible).
• Have vehicles serviced according to schedule.
• Handle payment transactions when necessary.
• Perform emergency service work (Water Restoration Division) as needed. Required to be part of the On‑Call Schedule at least once a month and out of town rotation schedule.
• Assist in new technician training.
• Ability to take the lead on jobs including directing crews. Needs to update Supervisor of any problems or situations immediately.

Essential Functions

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds in front of body and overhead with assistance.
• Must be able to crawl/work on hands and knees for short assignments over a continuous period of time.
• Must be able to work on a ladder with hands over head for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to physically tolerate chemicals that fall within approved OSHA standards.
• Must be able to squat while bearing weight.
• Must possess average visual and auditory acuity.
• Must be able to push/pull equipment up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to adapt to rapidly changing work environment.
• Must be able to pass DOT physical.
• Must have clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to wear a respirator.
• Must be able to withstand changing variances in temperature such as cold weather or hot weather.
• Must be able to tolerate confined spaces.
